DAVE ZACUR: 9/11 exhibit's creators impressed with Indiana
As many are aware, Indiana was honored to have the Ground Zero 360 exhibit open last Wednesday at the Atrium.
Of interest to all, I have since had conversations with Paul McCormick, his wife Nicola and the widows of fallen firefighters and police officers who attended this opening.
To put it simply, they were impressed with the town of Indiana but also the warmth and respect paid to them and their husbands/ fathers who had lost their lives on 9/11.
Several remarked that of all the venues that had hosted this event that Indiana was their most remarkable and memorable experience since the inception of the exhibit. This included venues such as Chicago and the National Museum of Ireland.
I thought the citizens and community leaders should know this as it is such a moving tribute to our town, IUP and the people who live and work here.
Thanks again to all who supported this event and for making it a special evening for those who lost loved ones that day 11 years ago.
We will all never forget!
