Investigators reported that a 1-year-old boy was transported by LifeFlight helicopter to a regional trauma center for treatment of a moderate injury following a crash about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday on Route 422 near Trim Tree Road in Armstrong Township.

State police reported the child was a passenger in a car driven by Steven Marsh, 28, of Indiana. Marsh stopped to make a left turn and his vehicle was hit from behind by a car driven by James Farabaugh, 36, of Northern Cambria, according to a report.

Troopers at Indiana gave no other information on the child’s condition, and said Farabaugh suffered a minor injury and was sent to Indiana Regional Medical Center. The Indiana fire department and Citizens’ Ambulance Service paramedics also responded to the scene. (Teri Enciso/Gazette photo)
