Armstrong Township

Joshua King, 27, of Rural Valley, was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 10:53 p.m. Wednesday on Route 422 southeast of Lawton Road.

State police at Indiana said King was driving east when his vehicle ran off the highway and went into a ditch before rolling over.

Police said King was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected through the driver’s door window.

He was flown to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, where a spokesman today said he was in fair condition.

Volunteer firefighters from Elderton assisted police at the scene.

 

West Wheatfield Township

One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 3:04 p.m. Tuesday on Route 259 at Climax Road.

State police at Indiana said Kenneth Yarnal, 18, of Homer City, made a left turn onto Climax Road without yielding the right-of-way to an oncoming vehicle driven by Amanda Overly, 33, of Bolivar.

The vehicles collided in the northbound lane, police said.

Yarnal was not hurt. Overly was injured and taken by ambulance to Indiana Regional Medical Center. A hospital spokeswoman this morning said Overly was treated and released.

Sean Durler, of Pittsburgh, was not hurt when he lost control of his car at 5:41 p.m. Monday on a curve of Mulligan Hill Road.

Police said his car hit a tree.
