One person was hurt in a rear-end collision on Indian Springs Road southeast of University Drive at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday.
State police at Indiana said Evelyn Mack, 57, of Homer City, was driving west and stopped for traffic ahead. Her car was hit from behind by a car driven by Lorissa Lydick, 26, of Indiana.
Police said Lydick was distracted by a ringing cellphone. Mack had a minor injury, according to police, and was taken by ambulance to Indiana Regional Medical Center. No information was available this morning on her condition.
Fairfield Township, Westmoreland County
No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle collision at 2:32 p.m. Tuesday on Route 711 at Creek Road.
State police at Greensburg said Karen King, 54, of New Florence, was driving north and was stopped while waiting to make a left turn onto Creek Road. Police said a vehicle driven by Laura Hood, 29, of Seward, ran into the rear of King’s stopped vehicle.
