NORTH MAHONING TOWNSHIP

Rick Geist, 49, of Punxsutawney, was injured at 8:05 p.m. Friday when his motorcycle collided with a deer on Route 210 just south of Bloom Road.

State police at Punxsutawney said Geist was riding south when his motorcycle hit the deer. The cycle overturned and Geist was thrown off.

He was taken to Punxsutawney Area Hospital, where a spokeswoman this morning said he was admitted in fair condition.

Volunteer firefighters from Perry Township, Jefferson County, assisted police at the scene.

PLUMCREEK TOWNSHIP, ARMSTRONG COUNTY

State police at Kittanning said Tracy Montgomery, 41, of Rural Valley, suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 8:54 a.m. Tuesday on Cribbs Road.

Police said Montgomery was driving south when she lost control of her sport utility vehicle and it hit an embankment and rolled over.
