CLYMER

A truck driven by an unidentified person backed into another truck, causing damage to that vehicle’s front bumper and quarter panel at 3 p.m. Sept. 24 along Franklin Street, according to state police at Indiana. No further details were provided.

YOUNG TOWNSHIP, JEFFERSON COUNTY

A car driven by Matthew J. Shafer, 30, of DuBois, left a single-lane construction zone on Route 310 and struck the impact attenuator in front of concrete barriers at 6:11 p.m. Wednesday near Harmony Road North, state police at Punxsutawney reported.

According to police, Shafer said the laces of his boot became tangled in the accelerator and brake pedal of the car and he was unable to brake for the lane shift.

No one was injured in the crash, according to police.

PERRY TOWNSHIP

A car driven by Rebecca A. Mitchell, 23, of Punxsutawney crashed at 3:40 p.m. near Route 536 and Hamilton Markton Road, state police at Punxsutawney reported. The car skidded in an attempt to slow down to avoid another vehicle, traveling about six feet off the roadway, striking a culvert, then traveling another 12 feet before coming to a rest. No one was injured, according to police.

DERRY TOWNSHIP

Dakota B. Bejster, 18, of Loyalhanna, sustained minor injuries after his SUV veered off of Route 982 South and crashed into a tree at 12:37 a.m. Monday about 115 feet north of Wood Street.

EAST WHEATFIELD TOWNSHIP

A car driven by Diane J. Metzgar, 53, of Johnstown, left the road, hit a rock embankment and overturned at 5:25 p.m. Sept. 22 on Route 403, less than half a mile from the Cambria County line, state police at Indiana reported. Metzgar was not injured, according to police.
