Cherryhill Township

A vehicle driven by Megha Baikadi, of Dalton, Lackawanna County, hit several trees at 9:48 p.m. Saturday along Route 422, state police reported.

Baikadi, 27, was freed from the wreckage by members of the Cherryhill Township and Clymer fire departments and was flown to Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown for treatment of injuries.

The hospital had no information about Baikadi, a spokeswoman said this morning.

 

Cowanshannock Township, Armstrong County

A station wagon driven by Valerie Brewer, of Rural Valley, hit a deer on Route 85 near Margaret Road and came to rest in a sales lot at Passerini’s Used Cars, at 10:11 p.m. Saturday, state police reported.

Troopers at Kittanning said no one was injured.

 

Banks Township

State police reported Edward Poso, 65, of Arcadia, suffered a minor injury at 4:45 a.m. Saturday when the car he was driving slid off Johnsonburg Road at Bonner Road.

The car traveled over an embankment, crossed a snow-covered field, knocked over some trees and came to rest in a swampy area in the woods, troopers at Punxsutawney reported.

 

Derry Township, Westmoreland County

Vehicles driven by Robert Puzak and Sheryl Varrato, both of Blairsville, were involved in an accident at 7:40 p.m. Saturday on Route 22 near Dudeck Lane, state police at Kiski Valley reported.

Puzak, 54, and Varrato, 59, suffered minor injuries and were transported to Excela Health Latrobe Hospital for treatment, according to police.
