Rural Valley, Armstrong County

While backing out of a parking spot, a Ford F150 truck driven by Donald J. McLachlan Jr., 69, of Rural Valley, hit a parked Pontiac Torrent at 7:49 p.m. Dec. 22 on West Main Street, 213 feet east of Cherry Street, according to state police at Kittanning.

The driver of the truck then “fled the scene east on Main Street,” police said in a public information release.

No injuries were reported, according to police.

Loyalhanna Township, Westmoreland County

A Nissan Murano driven by Amanda M. Stein, 25, of Export, failed to negotiate a curve, ran into a bridge railing, then struck a guiderail at 1:20 a.m. Dec. 22 on Loyalhanna Dam Road approximately half a mile east of Sawmill Road, according to state police at Kiski Valley.

The driver and her passenger, Brandon J. Condron, 23, also of Export, were uninjured, according to police.
