ACCIDENTS

BURRELL TOWNSHIP

A vehicle driven by an unknown person sideswiped a car driven by Jeremy L. Paulson, 25, of Blairsville, at 4:40 p.m. Wednesday on Route 119, about 100 feet west of Cornell Road, according to state police at Indiana.

Police said the vehicle left the scene after the collision.

Paulson was uninjured.

YOUNG TOWNSHIP

State police at Indiana reported that a vehicle driven by Khrystal L. Gresko, 26, of Greensburg, hit an ice patch and crashed into a guardrail at 10:40 a.m. Wednesday on Route 286, about 450 feet east of Gemmell Road.

No injuries were reported.

 

BANKS TOWNSHIP

Vehicles driven by Raymond B. Bartko, 50, of North Huntington, and Lawrence M. Kopas, 80, of Rossiter, collided at 8:54 a.m. Thursday at Hemlock Lake Road and Johnsonburg Road, state police at Punxsutawney reported.

Bartko was uninjured, according to police, and Kopas suffered a minor injury.

The Rossiter and Big Run fire departments, as well as Jefferson County EMS and PennDOT, were on the scene to assist.

 

CONEMAUGH TOWNSHIP

A vehicle driven by Donald R. Newell, 20, of Blairsville, crossed the road then hit an embankment at 4:50 p.m. Wednesday on Clarksburg Road, according to state police at Indiana. Newell was uninjured, according to police.

 

BELL TOWNSHIP, CLEARFIELD COUNTY

A car driven by Randall S. Owens, 44, of Mahaffey, left the road then traveled in a ditch until striking a culvert and coming to a stop at 5:40 p.m. Thursday on Mahaffey Grampian Highway, state police at Punxsutawney reported.

Owens and his passenger were uninjured, according to police.
