Young Township

State police at Indiana reported Felicia Roman, of Saltsburg, and a passenger in her vehicle escaped injury at 5:18 p.m. Tuesday when an object fell from a truck and hit the windshield as they traveled on Route 286 near Maryai Road.

The object fell from a purple or maroon truck tractor that continued traveling and didn’t stop at the scene. Police gave no other description of the truck.

Roman’s vehicle sustained minor damage, police said.

 

Avonmore, Westmoreland County

State police reported Carson Tragos, of Derry, suffered a moderate injury at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, when the sport utility vehicle he was driving hit a pickup truck parked along Indiana Avenue.

LifeStat Ambulance paramedics took Tragos, 21, to Forbes Regional Hospital for treatment, according to troopers at Kiski Valley.

Plumcreek Township, Armstrong County

A truck driven by Charles Hropovich, of Seward, traveled up an embankment and hit a utility pole along Route 422 during a strong rainstorm at 5:52 p.m. Tuesday, state police reported.

No one was reported to be injured.

 

Salem Township, Westmoreland County

A passenger van driven by William Scott, of Gibsonia, hit the rear or a tri-axle truck driven by Neil Mack, of Seward, at 1:40 p.m. Monday, when Mack slowed to stop at a red traffic signal on Route 22 at the entrance to Allegheny Paper Shredders, state police at Kiski Valley reported.

Scott, 77, suffered a moderate injury and three passengers in the van suffered minor injuries, according to a report. They were sent to Forbes Regional Hospital for treatment.
