Area man charged with theft
State police in Punxsutawney have charged a man with stealing at least $60,000 worth of material from a Jefferson County machine shop.
Jacob Anthony Clemento, 32, of Punxsutawney, is facing one count each of theft by deception, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.
According to police, Clemento took material from FEMCO Machine in Young Township and sold it for scrap at times between August 2013 and this month.
Clemento was arraigned before District Judge Douglas Chambers on Monday and released after posting a $75,000 percentage bond.
