Numerous defendants have been named in criminal charges filed before Magisterial District Judge Jennifer Rega, of Blairsville.

Criminal complaints and affidavits of probable cause are not evidence of guilt in a criminal case. Defendants are entitled to legal representation and have the right to question the witnesses and evidence presented against them during preliminary hearings in the district court and at trials in the county court of common pleas.

Charged were:

• Eric Ronald Slupe, 28, Saltsburg, charged May 28 by state police with four counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs and three summary charges at 2:30 a.m. April 28 on State Route 286 in Conemaugh Township. According to court documents, Slupe’s blood alcohol content was 0.16 percent at the time of arrest. The case is still active.

• Lamont Louis Thompson, 56, Irwin, charged May 30 by state police with two counts of DUI and four summary charges at 6:11 p.m. May 5 on Commonwealth Highway, Conemaugh Township. According to court documents, Thompson’s BAC was 0.18 percent at the time of arrest. The charges were waived for court.

• Shawn P. Gearhart, 26, Indiana, charged May 26 by state police with two counts of simple assault at 2:53 a.m. May 26 on Philadelphia Street in Indiana. The charges were moved to non-traffic violations.

• Marty Foreman Jr., 38, of Blairsville, charged May 26 by state police with operating a vehicle without proper registration at 9:20 p.m. May 25 on East Brown Street in Blairsville. Foreman pleaded guilty to the charge.

• Jeffrey W. Womochil, 52, of Colorado, charged May 24 by state police with one felony count of forgery and two misdemeanors at 11:47 a.m. May 24 at Walmart in White Township. The charges were waived for court.

• Christopher John Gordish, 33, of Slickville, charged May 28 by state police with two counts of DUI and three summary charges at 2:50 a.m. May 11 on Market Street, Saltsburg. According to court documents, Gordish’s BAC was 0.22 percent at the time of arrest. The case is still active.

• Alan M. Eagle, 33, of Erie, charged June 3 by Blairsville police with retail theft and public drunkenness on May 20 on East Market Street, Blairsville. The case is still active.

• Brandi Sue Kuncher, 26, of Baker Hill Street, Latrobe, charged May 23 by state police with theft by deception and two summary charges between 10:12 p.m. May 6 and 5:21 p.m. May 7 at Walmart in Burrell Township. The case is still active.

• Douglas Ronald Peelor, 53, of Clune, charged June 6 by state police with criminal trespass and public drunkenness between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. June 1 on McIntyre Road, Young Township. The case is still active.

• Van O. Skinner, 36, Clarksburg, charged May 29 by state police with DUI and three summary charges at 7:05 p.m. May 24 on State Route 286, Young Township. Skinner’s BAC was not provided by court documents. The case is still active.

• Joel Travis Griffen, 21, Port Matilda, charged June 6 by state police with two counts of DUI and four summary charges at 1:55 a.m. April 27 on Jesse Penrose Road, West Wheatfield Township. According to court documents, Griffen’s BAC was 0.13 percent at the time of arrest. The case is still active.

• Jeffrey Howard Burger, 43, of Pittsburgh, charged May 29 by state police with two counts of DUI and two summary charges at 1:49 a.m. May 12 on State Route 119, Burrell Township. According to court documents, Burger’s BAC was 0.08 percent at the time of arrest. The case is still active.

• Oliver Andrew Finley, 36, of New Alexandria, charged June 6 by state police with felony counts of overnight accommodations in a building where no person was present, criminal trespass and a misdemeanor between 6 p.m. June 1 and 8 a.m. June 2 on Thompson Road, Blacklick Township. The charges were waived for court.

• Michael Vincent Shaw, 22, of Greensburg, charged June 18 by state police with DUI and three summary charges at 1:25 a.m. June 1 on State Route 119 at Cornell Road, Burrell Township. According to court documents, Shaw’s BAC was 0.14 at the time of arrest. The case is still active.

• Courtney Taylor Reed, 23, of Bentley Drive, Blairsville, charged June 18 by state police with criminal conspiracy and retail theft on May 29 on Resort Plaza Drive, Burrell Township. The case is inactive.

• Jamie Lee Hall, 27, of Washington Street, Bolivar, charged June 21 by state police with possession of a controlled substance at 4:51 a.m. June 16 on Mary Street, West Wheatfield Township. The case is still active.

• Christopher Burrell II, 23, of East Market Street, Blairsville, charged June 24 by Blairsville police with a felony county of institutional vandalism, eight misdemeanors and five summary charges June 22 on Short Street, Blairsville. The case is still active.

• Tammy Davidson, 54, of Barclay Heights Road, Indiana, charged June 27 by state police with driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance and two summary charges at 10:50 p.m. June 14 on State Route 286, Young Township. Davidson’s blood alcohol content was not provided by court documents. The case is still active.

• Oliver Andrew Finley, 36, of Pittsburgh, charged June 27 by state police with possession of a controlled substance at 10:30 p.m. March 12 at the Comfort Inn on Route 22, Burrell Township. The charges were waived for court.

• Benjamin Carl Woolwine, 27, of South Spring Street, Blairsville, charged June 28 by Blairsville police with two counts of DUI and three summary charges on May 4 on Second Avenue, Blairsville. Woolwine’s BAC was not provided by court documents. The case is still active.

• Frank A. Budzik, 53, of Lincoln Avenue, Latrobe, charged June 27 by state police with two counts of DUI and a summary charge at 1:30 a.m. June 27 on State Route 403 in Buffington Township. According to court documents, Budzik’s BAC was 0.14 percent at the time of arrest. The case is still active.

• William James Larkin, 49, of Main Street, Shelocta, charged July 1 by state police with intimidation of witnesses or victims at 1:33 p.m. May 22 on Second Street in the village of Clune, Young Township. The case is still active.

• Nicole Frances Krisko, 24, of Route 711, Seward, charged July 1 by state police with cruelty to animals at 11:04 a.m. on Route 711, East Wheatfield Township. The case is still active.
