Crash kills two, injures two

MAHANOY CITY (AP) — Authorities said a head-on crash in eastern Pennsylvania killed two people and injured two others.

The accident occurred Friday afternoon in Mahanoy Township. State police said a driver traveling east on Frackville-Morea Highway lost control of his car and crashed into an oncoming vehicle.

The driver died, as did one of his passengers.

The Republican-Herald reported the driver was a 51-year-old from Mahanoy City. His front-seat passenger, Robin Capone, 51, was from the same town.

A back-seat passenger was taken to a hospital, as was the driver of the second car.
