Defendants sentenced in court

Several defendants appeared at sentencing hearings Friday in Indiana County Court before Judge Thomas Bianco:

• Brian Pittman, 50, of Maple Avenue Extension, Blairsville, was sent to Indiana County Jail for six months to two years less one day and was assessed $749 in fines and costs for driving under the influence. Three other charges were set aside.

• Zachary Stroud, 26, of Water Street, Indiana, was ordered to serve concurrent terms of 90 days to five years in Indiana County Jail and five days to six months for unrelated counts of driving under the influence, followed by two years of probation for resisting arrest and simple assault, and was required to pay fines, court costs and restitution totaling more than $3,025. Six other charges were not prosecuted.

• James Morgan, 24, of Baker Road, Creekside, was ordered to serve 10 days to two years in the Indiana County Jail for driving under the influence and a concurrent term of 90 days in jail for driving under suspension. Morgan also was placed on probation for one year for a misdemeanor count of being a habitual offender, and was given a concurrent term of six months on probation for an unrelated count of DUI. Morgan was assessed a total of $2,800 in fines and court costs. Prosecutors set aside 11 other counts.

• Robert Brewer, 40, of Juniper Road, Cherry Tree, was ordered to serve six months of intermediate punishment including 96 hours in Indiana County Jail and 32 days of house arrest and was ordered to pay $969 in fines and court costs for DUI. Five other charges were dropped in a plea agreement.

• John Wagner, 41, of South Factory Hollow Road, Homer City, was required to serve six months of intermediate punishment including 96 hours in Indiana County Jail and 32 days of house arrest and was assessed at least $755 of fines and court costs for DUI. Four other charges were not prosecuted.

• Shane Rusnock, 22, of Ellwood City, Lawrence County, was ordered to serve six months of intermediate punishment including 96 hours in the county jail and 32 days of house arrest and was assessed $805 in fines and court costs for DUI. Prosecutors set aside eight other charges in a plea agreement.

• Lauren Long, 22, of Medlar Lane, White Township, was placed on intermediate punishment for six months including 10 days of house arrest and was required to pay $639 of fines and costs for DUI. Prosecutors set aside three other charges.

• Joshua McKendree, 36, of North Apollo, Armstrong County, was placed on intermediate punishment for six months, including 10 days of house arrest, and was required to pay at least $505 in fines and court costs for DUI. Two other charges were dropped in a plea bargain.

• Anthony Rocco, 31, of Grant Street, Indiana, was placed on six months of intermediate punishment including 10 days of house arrest and was ordered to pay $639 of fines and costs of prosecution for DUI. Four other charges were not prosecuted.

• Jacob Anderson, 22, of 13th Street, New Florence, was ordered to serve 72 hours to six months in Indiana County Jail and to pay $1,564.50 in fines and costs for DUI.
