Several defendants have been named on criminal charges filed in the Clymer district court before Magisterial District Judge George Thachik.

Criminal complaints and affidavits of probable cause are not evidence of guilt in a criminal case.

Defendants are entitled to legal representation and have the right to question the witnesses and evidence presented against them during preliminary hearings in the district court and at trials in the county court of common pleas.

Named on criminal charges were:

Jacob William Schrecengost, 21, of Apollo; Jacob James Roup, 22, of Kittanning; and Kenneth Herbert Grafton, 21, of Kittanning, charged Oct. 27 by state police with criminal trespass and conspiracy to commit criminal mischief, and Dane William Bowser, 21, of Ford City, charged with criminal trespass and criminal mischief, Sept. 16 at 317 Baker Road, Washington Township. A preliminary hearing for all four was set for Dec. 13.

Charles Dale Wise, 32, of Dixonville, charged Nov. 1 by state police with receiving stolen property Oct. 31 at DC Sales and Service, Green Township. A preliminary hearing was set for Dec. 13.

Sherry Jody Brombach, 40, of Shelocta, charged Nov. 1 by state police with DUI and two traffic offenses Aug. 4 on Barr Slope Road in Green Township. Her blood alcohol level was 0.15 percent, court records show. A preliminary hearing was set for Dec. 20.

Gregg Allen Buterbaugh, 38, of Cherry Tree, charged Nov. 1 by state police with DUI and four traffic offenses Sept. 16 on Route 286 near Arcadia Road, Montgomery Township. His BAC was 0.23 percent, court records show. A preliminary hearing was set for Dec. 20.

Amanda Lynn Koffman, 27, of Clymer, charged Oct. 26 by state police with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia Sept. 14 at 785 Sleepy Hollow Road, White Township; and again Nov. 7 with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia Sept. 21 in Cherryhill Township. A preliminary hearing for the first charge was set for Nov. 15.

Frank William Brink, 29, of Clymer, charged Nov. 7 by state police with theft from a vehicle, criminal attempt to commit theft from a vehicle and criminal mischief Aug. 17 at 353 Donahey Road, Grant Township. A preliminary hearing has not been set.

Alan James Kaplin, 43, of Rural Valley, charged Nov. 7 by state police with indecent exposure, open lewdness and disorderly conduct Oct. 27 on Route 119 North at the Route 286 overpass in White Township.

No preliminary hearing has been set.
