INDIANA DISTRICT COURT DOCKET

Numerous defendants have been named in criminal charges filed in the Indiana district court before Magisterial District Judge Guy Haberl.

Criminal complaints and affidavits of probable cause are not evidence of guilt in a criminal case. Defendants are entitled to legal representation and have the right to question the witnesses and evidence presented against them during preliminary hearings in the district court and at trials in the county court of common pleas. Charged are:

Christine Hampton, 43, of Olive Street, Indiana, charged Jan. 29 by Indiana Borough police with DUI, harassment and criminal mischief at 2:54 a.m. Jan. 1 at 1353 Church St. Police responded to a report of a male being assaulted by a female. Hampton left the scene in her vehicle before police arrived and was met by an officer at her residence. Hampton had a blood alcohol content of 0.205 percent, court papers show. Hampton waived her right to a hearing and opted to face action in Indiana County Court.

Casey Patton, 19, of Kittanning, Armstrong County, charged Jan. 29 by Indiana Borough police with DUI and two summary driving infractions at 2:42 a.m. Jan. 4 in the 1300 block of Philadelphia Street, following a traffic stop for inoperable registration and brake lights. Patton had a BAC of 0.191 percent, court papers show. Patton waived her right to a hearing and opted to face action in Indiana County Court.

James Bock, 18, of Valley Road, Indiana, charged Jan. 29 by Indiana Borough police with possession of a small amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a controlled substance at 12:40 a.m. Jan. 5 in the 300 block of Philadelphia Street. Police observed Bock pull into the parking lot of a business after closing time which appeared suspicious. Police detected the smell of marijuana upon contact with Bock.

Bock pleaded guilty to possession of a small amount of marijuana and was ordered to pay $662 in fines and costs. The possession of drug paraphernalia and a controlled substance charges were withdrawn.

Benjamin Keck, 25, of Wayne Avenue, Indiana, charged Jan. 29 by Indiana Borough police with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia at 11:50 p.m. Jan. 5 in the 700 block of South Street. During a traffic stop in which Keck was a passenger, it was discovered that there was an active bench warrant for Keck’s arrest. During a search of Keck, heroin, crack cocaine and paraphernalia was discovered on his person. The case was held for court.

Jared Dick, 24, of Philadelphia Street, Indiana, charged Jan. 29 by Indiana Borough police with DUI and a summary driving infraction at 2:09 a.m. Jan. 6 in the 700 block of Klondyke Avenue, following a traffic stop for driving the wrong direction on a one-way street. Dick had a BAC of 0.165 percent, court papers show. Dick waived his right to a hearing and opted to face action in Indiana County Court.

Gary Harkleroad Jr., 28, of Harkle Road, Indiana, charged Jan. 29 by Indiana Borough police with DUI and a summary driving infraction at 2:20 a.m. Jan. 10 in the 400 block of Water Street, following a traffic stop for inoperable brake lights. Harkleroad had a BAC of 0.164 percent, court papers show.  Harkleroad waived his right to a hearing and opted to face action in Indiana County Court.

Jason Broadbent, 28, of Philadelphia Street, Indiana, charged Jan. 29 by Indiana Borough police with possession of drug paraphernalia at 11:45 p.m. Jan. 12 in the 100 block of Philadelphia Street. Police responded to a report of Broadbent having drug paraphernalia at his residence. Broadbent waived his right to a hearing and opted to face action in Indiana County Court.
