Manning verdict expected today

FORT MEADE, Md. (AP) — It’s judgment day for Bradley Manning, the U.S. Army private who spilled U.S. government secrets to WikiLeaks.

A military judge is expected to announce her verdicts this afternoon in the soldier’s court-martial.

He faces a possible life sentence if convicted of aiding the enemy for sending classified information to the anti-secrecy website.

The 25-year-old soldier also faces 20 other counts, including espionage, computer fraud and theft.
