Materials stolen

State police in Punxsutawney said they are investigating the theft of $60,000 worth of material from a Jefferson County machine shop.

According to police, it appears that an employee of FEMCO Machine in Young Township had been taking material from the shop and selling it as scrap.

Police said thefts had been occurring since November.

No charges have yet been filed, and an investigation is continuing, police said.
