CHERRYHILL TOWNSHIP — A motorcyclist was sent to Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown for treatment of injuries he suffered in a wreck about 7:30 p.m. Saturday on Spaulding Road, emergency officials said.

The patient, a man in his late 30s, was airlifted by medical helicopter as a precaution for possible head injuries, said Jody Rainey, chief of the Cherryhill Township fire department.

The man wore no helmet and was ejected from the motorcycle when he lost control of it in an area known as Ackerson’s Curve, about 1ᄑ miles from Penn Run near Clymer Road.

The Cherryhill Township fire department was dispatched at 7:35 p.m. Citizens’ Ambulance Service paramedics treated the man at the scene; state police investigated but released no details before press time.
