Rescuers were summoned to the scene of this accident on Route 259 in Brush Valley Township Monday morning.

According to state police in Indiana, the car, driven by Carol S. Shultz, 55, of Salineville, Ohio, went off the road around 6:20 a.m., struck a tree and went down an embankment, stopping on the shoreline of Yellow Creek State Park, near the south boat launch.

Neither she nor passenger James D. Smith, 52, of Salineville, was injured, police said.
