Police: Adviser raped boy
CARMICHAELS (AP) — State police said John Robert Lohr, who serves on a county Children and Youth Services advisory board, has been charged with raping a boy.
Authorities said Lohr, 56, of Carmichaels, was arrested last week in West Virginia. Lohr allegedly held a knife to the boy’s throat during some of the assaults that began in October 2009.
Lohr is facing rape, sexual assault, corruption of minors and other charges. No attorney was listed on court papers, and he is reportedly awaiting extradition from West Virginia.
State Trooper William Brown said the child reported the abuse on Aug. 14.
