Burrell Township --  Tools taken :: State police at Indiana are investigating a theft Thursday or Friday at a bridge project along Campbells Mill Road.

Police said numerous pieces of painting equipment and power tools, belonging to Symmetric Painting LLC, of Elkton, Md., were taken from the site.

Paraphernalia possession

State police at Indiana did not identify a 31-year-old female from Ernest who police said was in possession of drug paraphernalia when her vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation

Police made the discovery at 5:05 p.m. Tuesday on Old Indiana Road at Barrondale Road.

Theft from vehicle

Paul Fisher, of 102 S. Main St., told Homer City police that someone stole a Sony CD player and radio and a radar detector from his car while it was parked near his residence on Sunday or Monday.

Criminal mischief

Doug Globun, of 1984 Cherry Tree Road, told state police at Indiana that someone damaged his garage door Monday.

Court order violation

Indiana police arrested Thomas Simmons, 24, of Waynesburg, Thursday for violating a protection from abuse order, according to reports.

 

Public drunkenness

An Indiana University of Pennsylvania Police Department bicycle patrol officer observed David Noker, 52, of Indiana, in an intoxicated state at 1:26 a.m. Saturday along the 800 block of School Street.

He was charged with public drunkenness, and according to police, was held on a temporary detainer after he did not provide police with the name of a sober adult.
