INDIANA -- Assault charges :: Indiana University of Pennsylvania police reported a Greensburg man was charged with assaulting another man around 1 a.m. Sunday in the lower parking lot of Stright Hall.

Jeffrey P. Kerila, 22, of Greensburg, was charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and recklessly endangering another person, all misdemeanors.

The victim was not identified.

Marijuana charges

A male juvenile was cited with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia around 10:20 p.m. Saturday in the 900 block of Fleming Avenue, Indiana Borough police reported. Police did not report the boy's age.

Criminal mischief

Someone damaged a large widow at the SCA Student Recreation Center under construction at 281 Rice Ave. between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday, Indiana Borough police reported. Police said the window was on the South Seventh Street side of the building.

Someone scrawled graffiti in the first floor men's restroom in Stapleton Library, IUP police reported. The graffiti was reported by IUP custodial services around 9:46 a.m. Wednesday.

Theft

Someone stole a license plate from a Citizens' Ambulance Service vehicle at Colonial Collision on North Second Street between 2 p.m. Monday and 11 a.m. Thursday, Indiana Borough police reported. The license plate is EV33340 and can only be used on emergency vehicles.

Theft from a vehicle

IUP police reported an unnamed student told police his HP laptop and book bag were stolen out of his unlocked vehicle around 10:30 a.m. Saturday on Pratt Drive at Folger Hall.

Alcohol charges

A 17-year-old girl was cited with underage drinking around 11:22 p.m. Friday on the third floor of Wallwork Hall, IUP police reported. The girl was not named.

Nathan Wasson, 18, of Jersey Shore, was cited with underage drinking and public drunkenness around 12:18 a.m. Saturday in the parking lot on 11th Street, IUP police reported.

Mohamed KaKay, 20, of Upper Darby, was cited with underage drinking and public drunkenness around 3:29 a.m. Sunday at the north entrance to Delaney Hall, IUP police reported.

Matthew Hoffman, 19, of Monroeville, was cited with underage drinking, public drunkenness, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia around 1:40 a.m. Saturday in the third floor lobby of Northern Suites, IUP police reported.

Jamiya Pickett and Breia Matthews, both 19 and of Pittsburgh, were cited with underage drinking around 3:20 a.m. Saturday at 253 Suites on Maple East Hall, IUP police reported.

Joshua T. Noble, 21, of Gibsonia, was cited with public drunkenness around 1 a.m. Saturday on the first block of North Seventh Street, Indiana Borough police reported.

Meghan Goodiski, 22, of Spring Church, was cited with public drunkenness around 2:40 a.m. Saturday on the second-floor hallway of Putt Hall, IUP police reported.

Jaylen Odies Jordan, 18, of Monroeville, was cited with underage drinking around 12:50 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of South Sixth Street, Indiana Borough police reported.

Jacob McKita, 18, of Donora, was cited with underage drinking around 7:30 a.m. Saturday in the 700 block of South Street, Indiana Borough police reported.

Harassment

Benjamin Harr, 21, of Indiana, was charged with harassment around 4 p.m. March 5 in the first block of South 10th Street, Indiana Borough police reported. Police said he hit another man in the face with a closed fist; the other man was not named.

Disorderly conduct

Paul Anderson, 38, of Indiana, was charged with disorderly conduct around 9:15 p.m. March 8 in the area of 547 Philadelphia St., Indiana Borough police reported.

Criminal mischief

Someone scratched Michael Long's vehicle between 10:53 and 11:10 a.m. Thursday in the Regency Mall parking lot, state police in Indiana reported.

Harassment

Lawrence Banks, 46, of Penn Run, was charged with harassing Kim Shirley, 25, at the Regency Square Apartments between Feb. 13 and March 4, state police in Indiana reported.

Drug charges

Justin Jones, 23, of Indiana, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia March 4 at 26 Spruce Lane, state police in Indiana reported.

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP

Identity theft

State police in Indiana reported that Richard Neal, of Homer City, reported that someone has been using his Social Security number since 2010. Police said Neal was informed by the IRS that someone was using the number when he tried to file his 2012 taxes.

WEST WHEATFIELD TOWNSHIP

Burglary

State police in Indiana reported that someone broke into an unoccupied residence at 236 Chestnut St. between Sept. 1 and Monday, stealing copper from inside the home.

BLACKLICK TOWNSHIP, CAMBRIA COUNTY

Burglary

State police in Ebensburg charged James Brothers, 20, of Nanty Glo, with stealing a laptop and a Nook e-reader from Beth Brothers' home on Gelotte Drive on Feb. 28. Police said he then sold the items at a pawn shop in Ebensburg, then told police someone else had stolen and sold the property, according to police reports.

He was charged with burglary and criminal trespass, both felonies, and theft, making a false report and disorderly conduct, all misdemeanors. Court records also show he was charged with theft by deception on the same date, and that he was arrested March 6 by Nanty Glo Borough police and charged with robbery, criminal trespass, aggravated assault, theft, receiving stolen property and disorderly conduct.

Court records show bail was set at $50,000, and that he remains in the Cambria County Jail.

Criminal mischief

William McMillan, 73, and David Sethman, 68, both of Saltsburg, told state police in Kiski Valley that someone smashed their mailboxes on Ridge Road overnight Wednesday or Thursday, police reported.

APOLLO, ARMSTRONG COUNTY

Theft from a vehicle

Someone stole a purse from Chrystal R. Weister's vehicle at 422 N. Fourth St. between 3 and 6 a.m. Thursday, state police in Kittanning reported.
