White Township

Theft

Andrea Spevetz reported to state police that someone stole an iPhone 5 from her car while it was parked at SouthTowne Plaza between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Troopers reported the phone is worth $200.

Toni Harvey, 28, of Homer City, was charged Friday by state police at Indiana with a misdemeanor count of retail theft, accusing her of stealing money from a cash register on March 29 while she worked at JC Penney in Indiana Mall.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 29 in Homer City District Court.

Goldie Butler, 41, of Indiana, was charged by state police on Friday with a misdemeanor count of retail theft. Troopers reported Butler tried to steal merchandise April 3 from Walmart in SouthTowne Plaza. Online court records show the court sent the charges to Butler by summons.

 

Vandalism

Somebody applied spray paint between 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday to a garage door at Morgantown Machine & Hydraulics property at an unspecified location, state police at Indiana reported.

Troopers estimated the damage at $400.

 

Harassment

State police issued summary citations to Steven Oswalt, 26, of Indiana, and Madison Bruner, 21, of Shelocta, reporting that they were seen fighting each other at 4:30 p.m. April 1 in a wooded area near Brady Estates.

 

Young Township, Jefferson County

Theft attempt

Two men tried to steal computers and accessories from Walmart along Route 119 between 5:05 and 5:25 p.m. Tuesday, state police at Punxsutawney reported.

The suspects were described only as white and young in appearance. They fled in a small, light blue car, according to a report.
