State police in Indiana charged Mark Cessna, 37, of Homer City, with fleeing or trying to elude an officer around 1:20 a.m. March 30 on Route 119 South at the Sheetz exit, according to police reports. The charges were filed Monday.
Police said they observed Cessna commit a traffic violation, but he did not stop when they tried to pull him over. When he did stop, he jumped out of the vehicle and ran away, police said.
Indiana Borough police used pepper spray to subdue a man found sleeping in someone else’s home around 5:58 a.m. May 4 in the 1100 block of School Street, according to police reports.
Police said Scott Garbera, 21, of Bridgeville, was cited with trespass and resisting arrest.
According to police, they responded to the home for a report of an unknown man sleeping inside. But when officers tried to take him into custody, he resisted and had to be subdued with pepper spray, according to police.
Indiana Borough police cited Bryan Mack, 25, of Vintondale, with public urination around 2:10 a.m. May 5 in the 500 block of Nixon Avenue.
Jerry Ewing, 69, of Indiana, told police that someone stole 45 gallons of kerosene from a fuel tank at 406 Lutz School Road, Lot 46, between 6:30 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 p.m. Monday.

Someone stole Misty Hemke’s jewelry from Kay Jewelers in the Indiana Mall around 3 p.m. April 5, state police in Indiana reported Tuesday.
Police said Kay Jewelers sent the jewelry away for repair on March 25, and that the store called Hemke on an unspecified date to tell her the jewelry was ready for pickup. By the time she arrived on April 5, the jewelry was gone, according to police.
