Underage drinking

IUP police reported that De’Shae Jamel Lee, 18, of Altoona, was cited with underage drinking and public drunkenness after being found in an intoxicated state at 11:59 p.m. Saturday in front of Wallwork Hall.

Tysheya Carpenter, 19, and Shytaya Carpenter, 19, both of Pittsburgh, were cited for underage drinking after officers were dispatched regarding complaints of a disturbance around 10:45 p.m. Sept. 6 at 1055 Philadelphia St., according to borough police.

 

Criminal mischief

According to borough police, a man in a white hooded sweatshirt was caught on surveillance video spray painting “Newt” on a Dumpster and a trash can at 11:02 p.m. Saturday behind the 9th Street Deli. Police ask that anyone with information call (724) 349-2121.

Theft

Someone stole the wedding ring and engagement ring of Elizabeth Kesselak, 87, of Indiana, sometime between 6:30 a.m. and 1:40 p.m. Thursday at St. Andrew’s Village, state police at Indiana reported. The rings were taken from her finger, according to police.

Three used tires were stolen from the bed of a pickup truck belonging to a 23-year-old Indiana man sometime between 4 p.m. Sept. 1 and noon Sept. 4. on South 13th Street. No further details were provided.

Harassment

Charges were filed against two people whose verbal argument escalated into physical contact at 9:50 p.m. Monday at a Josephine Heights residence, according to state police at Indiana. No further information was provided.

 

Theft

State police at Indiana report that a 27-year-old man stole a debit card belonging to Misty Andrews, 22, of Shelocta, then used it around 10 p.m. Sept. 10 at Walmart. No further information was provided.

Criminal trespass

State police said they are investigating an incident where a man parked his vehicle in the driveway of John Kitchin Jr., 26, between 4:50 and 5 p.m. Sept. 26 at Kitchin’s Main Street home, despite two posted “no trespassing signs” and a previous warning to stay away from the residence. No further information was provided.

Retail theft

Shelly Upholster, 47, of Robinson, stole merchandise Aug. 22 from Trendy Trades, state police at Indiana reported. Online records show that a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Monday at Homer City district court.

 

Harassment

State police at Indiana said they are investigating an incident where, during a phone conversation at 2:20 p.m. Sept. 23, a man threatened Linda Patterson, 60, of Homer City. No further information was provided.

CHERRYHILL TOWNSHIP

Theft

Someone stole the keys of a Yukon CXL quad belonging to Randy Wilson Bertuzzi, 34, of Clymer, between 4:30 and 5 p.m. from a location on Route 580, state police at Indiana reported.

 

Possession of a weapon

A 14-year-old girl was found with a pocket knife at 2:20 p.m. Sept. 19 at Penns Manor Area High School, according to state police at Indiana.

Assault, harassment

State police at Greensburg reported that a 15-year-old female resident of Susan’s Place hit Chelsea N. Hornbeck, 26, of Indiana around 8:10 p.m. Sept. 25 at the Ligonier Street group home.
