Burglary

Three televisions, jewelry, purses and other undisclosed items were stolen from an apartment building along the 900 block of Church Street, sometime on Saturday, Sunday or Monday, according to borough police. Anyone with information is asked to call police at (724) 349-2121.

 

PINE TOWNSHIP

Burglary

Someone broke into a vacant home along First Avenue in Heilwood and caused $1,000 in damage, according to state police in Indiana. Police said the incident occurred between 6 p.m. Tuesday and 3:11 p.m. Wednesday.

 

CANOE TOWNSHIP

Theft

Rolls of fencing wire, parts to a 1977 Pontiac Trans Am and other metal items were taken from a property off Dunmire road on Tuesday or Wednesday, according to state police in Punxsutawney. The stolen items belong to Anthony Thomas DeFelice, 58. Police said they have suspects.

 

NORTH MAHONING TOWNSHIP

Dog taken

Someone took a 15-year-old black Labrador retriever named Pepper from his home at 16419 Route 119 on Monday or Tuesday, according to state police in Punxsutawney.

Police said that based on footprints in the snow, it appears the dog snatcher stopped along Route 119, walked over to Pepper, who had been tied up, untied him and led him back to the road. Pepper’s owner is Beth Ann Spencer, 19.

WHITE TOWNSHIP

Theft from vehicle

Someone took $12 in cash and change from an unlocked vehicle parked at 298A Brady Drive, according to state police in Indiana.

Police said the theft took place between 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30 a.m. Thursday.
