INDIANA

Criminal mischief

Police said that between 10 p.m. Friday and 4 a.m. Saturday, someone sliced three tires on a vehicle parked in a lot in the 500 block of Gompers Avenue.

DUI arrest

At 2:09 a.m. Sunday, Indiana police stopped Matthew Dugan, 21, of Albion, N.Y., for driving erratically along the 600 block of Church Street.

Dugan was arrested and placed in the Indiana County Jail to be arraigned on a charge of DUI, according to police.

Public drunkenness

Indiana police said Ronald Murphy, 23, of Erie, was intoxicated at 10:15 p.m. Saturday along the 900 block of Oakland Avenue.

Murphy was arrested for public drunkenness and placed in the Indiana County Jail.

Marijuana possession

Paul Hoover III, 20, of Lutz, Fla., was stopped at 9:03 p.m. Friday for a traffic violation along the 900 block of Wayne Avenue.

Indiana police said Hoover had marijuana and drug paraphernalia in his possession and was arrested.

He was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and a summary traffic offense and was lodged in the Indiana County Jail.

Harassment

Christopher Reeves, 23, of Galeton, was cited with harassment after police said he taunted a worker and tried to instigate a fight in an apartment at 280 S. Seventh St. at 8:09 a.m. Jan. 31. The worker was in the apartment repairing a sprinkler system when the incident occurred, police said.

Disorderly conduct

Allen Homan III, 19, of Harrisburg, was cited by IUP police for disorderly conduct at 11:16 p.m. Feb. 3.

Police said there were repeated complaints about the noise coming from Holman’s room in Stephenson Hall along Maple Street.

GREEN TOWNSHIP

Burglary

State police at Indiana are investigating a burglary at the residence of Ralph Corrado, 5 Short St., Starford.

Police said someone entered Corrado’s home Feb. 1 and stole a wood chest containing prescription medications.

WHITE TOWNSHIP

Attempted identity theft

State police at Indiana said a 70-year-old male from Martin Road, who was not identified by investigators, was the victim of an attempted identity theft Jan. 26.

Police said someone requested information about the victim online to obtain a loan or insurance in the victim’s name.

ARMSTRONG TOWNSHIP

DUI

State police at Indiana charged Dennis Smith, 66, of Indiana, with DUI. Police said Smith was driving west on Route 422 near Lions Health Camp Road at 9:23 p.m. Dec. 31 when his vehicle crossed into the eastbound lane and nearly struck another vehicle.

Criminal mischief

A pickup truck and a car were damaged by what may have been shots fired from a BB gun Jan. 30 or 31, according to state police at Indiana.

The vehicles were damaged while parked at 504 Dogwood Road.

Police did not identify the owners of the vehicles.

CANOE TOWNSHIP

Obscene material

State police at Punxsutawney said text messages and photos, containing obscene material and sexual images, were sent to John Callender, 64, and Bethany Grasha, 31, both of Punxsutawney.

Police said the materials were sent Jan. 26 through Jan. 30. Police released no additional information.
