State police in Indiana said they cited a 17-year-old Homer City boy with harassment on Sunday night. Police said the boy struck an unidentified 18-year-old pregnant woman during an argument between the two.
Borough police are looking for the driver of a burgundy van that backed into a vehicle parked along the first block of South Carpenter Avenue on Friday night. Police said the incident occurred between 10:30 and 11 p.m. The van had a license plate from an unknown state bearing number ERX-541. Erik Hilty, 31, of Derry, was charged Friday with driving under the influence and four summary traffic violations in connection with a traffic stop at 3:08 a.m. March 8 on Route 217 at the Red Apple gas station, state police at Greensburg reported.
George Temchulla told state police that he received a phone call between March 10 and 12 at his residence along Pollock Road from someone who claimed to be his grandson in need of money. Temchulla forwarded an undisclosed amount of money to the caller and later learned it was not his grandson.
Theft from vehicle
A .40-caliber pistol belonging to an unidentified 22-year-old Homer City man was taken from his pickup truck sometime between March 6 and Sunday, according to state police in Indiana.
Someone broke into a hunting camp off Allen Bridge Road and stole two chainsaws, a grinder, other tools and copper items, according to state police in Indiana.
Police said the burglary occurred be- tween 1 p.m. March 17 and 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Police said the stolen items belong to Ralph McGee, 56, of Home.
