CENTER TOWNSHIP

DUI arrest

State police at Indiana arrested Jeffrey Guthrie, 18, of Indiana, for suspicion of driving under the influence after he was clocked traveling 103 mph on Route 119 at 8:43 p.m. March 7.

After receiving the results of a blood test, police charged Guthrie with DUI, speeding, careless driving and driving a vehicle without a valid inspection, police said.

SALTSBURG

Theft, fraud

James Branson, 70, of Saltsburg, told state police at Indiana he purchased a 2007 John Deere tractor and backhoe for $4,720 on March 14 on what he thought was a Pittsburgh classified website.

Police said the tractor was to be delivered from Omaha, Neb., but it did not arrive on the delivery date.

INDIANA

Drug violation

Indiana police responded at 8:05 p.m. March 27 to the Hadley Union Building on the Indiana University of Pennsylvania campus for a report of a male using drugs.

Officers said Cody Hawkins, 20, of Scottdale, was seen using cocaine during a concert inside the HUB.

He was also under the influence of alcohol at the time, according to police. He was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and underage drinking.

Alcohol violation

Logan Heckel, 18, of Lititz, was charged with public drunkenness and underage drinking after police said she tried to enter a home in the 400 block of Church Street at 12:39 a.m. Sunday, according to police.

Indiana police said Heckel did not know the residents who lived there.

She was placed in the Indiana County Jail.

WHITE TOWNSHIP

Criminal mischief

Jordan Henry, of The Grove, told state police at Indiana someone kicked open her bedroom door while she was not there. Police said the criminal mischief happened at 12:30 p.m. Friday.

GREEN TOWNSHIP

Criminal trespass

State police at Indiana cited Darrel Henline, 29, of Commodore, with criminal trespassing.

Police said Henline entered property clearly posted with no trespassing signs and owned by Daniel Huey, of Commodore, on March 31.

CHERRY TREE

Theft

Aaron Bakaysa, of Cherry Tree, told state police at Indiana a cellphone charger was taken from a vehicle in his driveway Saturday or Sunday.
