Hit-and-run

A faculty member at Indiana University of Pennsylvania told police the door of her parked car was struck and damaged between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Thursday in the IUP parking garage.

Alcohol violation

Ernest Benham, 51, of Indiana, was arrested and cited with public drunkenness at 2:15 a.m. today after borough police said they found him sleeping in the rain in the 1000 block of Philadelphia Street.

Hit-and-run

A vehicle was struck and damaged while parked in a lot on the 1200 block of Oakland Avenue between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Thursday, according to Indiana Borough police.

Unauthorized use

Donald Thomas Phillips, 35, of Avonmore, was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle after state police at Indiana said he used a motorcycle owned by Jerilyn S. Hamrock, 33, of Indiana, without permission at 6:58 p.m. Thursday on Fulmer Street.

Indecent assault

Jack Alderson, 67, whose address is listed as the rear of 883 Josephine Ave., Indiana, was charged with indecent assault in connection with an incident involving a 23-year-old woman in a home in the 800 block of Twolick Drive between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. on April 22, state police at Indiana reported today.

BURRELL TOWNSHIP

Harassment

Bryan Edward Hedderman, 31, of Oakmont, was cited with harassment in connection with a domestic dispute in the parking lot of WyoTech, 500 Innovation Way, around 6:45 a.m. Friday, according to state police at Indiana.

He is accused of elbowing his girlfriend, who was not identified, in the ribs, police said.

Counterfeit money

A counterfeit $20 bill was passed at Sheetz, 2260 Route 119, around 11:20 a.m. Thursday, according to state police at Indiana.
