White Township

Burglary

Dorothy Oxenreiter, 80, of 100 Cherry Run Lane, told state police at Indiana that someone stole a television from her residence. Police said the TV was taken Wednesday.

Hit-and-run

State police at Indiana said an unknown motorist was driving west in the wrong lane of Route 286 at 11:45 p.m. Saturday when he drove into the front right side of another vehicle. The unknown driver fled the scene, police said.

Police did not identify the driver of the second vehicle.

Center Township

Littering

State police at Indiana said two male suspects were caught burning pallets and copper wire at 9:17 a.m. Wednesday on the property of Kincaid Aggregates Inc., in the woods along the south side of Tide Road.

When confronted by a Kincaid Aggregates employee, the suspects fled in a vehicle that was later recovered along Route 119 in Center Township, police said.

Derry Township, Westmoreland County

Hit-and-run

Anthony Desport, 25, of Bradenville, was not hurt in a one-vehicle crash at 2:10 a.m. Sunday at 1377 Route 217.

State police at Indiana said Desport was driving too fast while leaving a parking lot, drove across Route 217 and his pickup truck hit a house on the west side of the highway. He then got out of the truck and fled the scene, according to police.

The crash caused structural damage to the house, police said.

Desport was charged with causing a hit-and-run crash with attended property, driving under a suspension of his license for DUI, giving false reports to police and numerous other traffic offenses.
