Salesman charged with truck theft

WEXFORD (AP) — A former car salesman was charged with stealing brand-new trucks from the western Pennsylvania dealership where he worked, and then reselling them for a fraction of the price to drug dealers.

Online court records didn’t list an attorney for Perry Brown, 52, of Natrona Heights.

He was charged Tuesday with thefts allegedly uncovered last year, though the state attorney general’s office won’t explain the delay.

Brown was a car salesman for Shults Ford in Wexford and came under investigation after investigators determined that several drug suspects were driving vehicles from the same dealership.

When authorities tried to figure out why, the trail allegedly led to Brown.
