SOMERSET (AP) — A district attorney says she’s “almost certain” that $1 million worth of heroin allegedly found when a Pittsburgh man’s car was stopped on the turnpike is the largest drug seizure ever in the county.

Online court records don’t list an attorney for Warren Green IV, 27, of Pittsburgh, who faces a preliminary hearing April 16 in Somerset.

Green has been jailed since he was stopped for speeding on Friday, but Somerset County District Attorney Lisa Lazzari-Strasiser and state police called a news conference Monday to discuss the bust because of its size.

They say police found 1,000 bricks of heroin in Green’s trunk. Each brick consists of 50 single-dose bags — meaning 50,000 doses valued at $20 each were seized.
