Waitress struck by stray bullet

MARTINS CREEK (AP) — A waitress is lucky to be alive after she was struck in the back by a stray bullet while on the job, police in eastern Pennsylvania said.

The waitress was hit while working Friday on the deck of the Riverside Bar and Grille in Lower Mount Bethel Township, Northampton County.

WFMZ-TV reported that the victim was transported to Easton Hospital, where she was last listed in good condition.

Her name has not been released.

The bullet that hit the waitress appears to be a .22 caliber.

Police say an investigation is under way.
