by on July 14, 2013 3:00 AM

A pickup truck wrecked just after 12:30 p.m. Saturday in the westbound lanes of Route 422 near the Route 119 exit, according to the Indiana County 911 dispatch center.

The truck went over the guardrail and down an embankment.

Indiana volunteer firefighters blocked traffic from the area for five hours while state police investigated the accident.

Debris from the truck — including nails, engine parts, even a punching bag — littered the highway.
