MARION CENTER -- Every year, Marion Center Area High School's Future Business Leaders of America chapter takes a day from school to go to the elementary schools and read to the young students.

On Dec. 7, the high school students in FBLA, accompanied by Tyson Ellenberger and Rebecca Coulter, went to Rayne Elementary in the morning and W.A. McCreery in the afternoon to read to children in kindergarten, first grade and second grade.

Many of the books chosen by students were Christmas-themed, like "The Polar Express" and "Santa Cows," which showed their eagerness for the holiday season. Reading to the children each year helps encourage the younger students to read and enjoy reading.
