RITA FEFOLT: Column blurs readers' reason on gay marriage
March 15, 2013 10:30 AM

Our society has become so open-minded that our brains have fallen out.

I am referring to Sunday’s column by Cokie and Steven Roberts, “‘Arc of history’ favors gay marriage.”

By playing on the emotions of the reader in highlighting the homosexual “spouse” taking “his child” to the doctor, emotions are manipulated, blurring reason.

Since the introduction of Values Clarification and Situational Ethics in our education system in the ’60s and ’70s, we no longer emphasize “What is Truth?” but rather “What do you think?” or “How do you feel?” about every vital issue of life.

Romans 3:22 says, “Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.”

No civilization of the past has survived that ignored the laws of a holy God.

I fear that we have been weighed in the balance and have been found wanting. The writing is on the wall.
