St. Paddy's Open set for Friday
Members of Quota International of Indiana are finalizing plans for the eighth annual St. Patty's Day Open indoor golf tournament to support local charities in the Indiana community.
In the last seven years, this event has raised almost $75,000.
The event will be held 5 p.m. Friday upstairs at the Coney, with a 6:30 p.m. start at participating downtown Indiana businesses. Al Patti's, Benjamin's, Boomerang's, The Coney, Cosumel, HB Culpeppers, Steel City Samiches Bar and Grille, Twisted Jimmy's and Wolfendale's/Grub's Sports Bar are all participating in the event.
Once again, one of the signature sponsors for the event is Environmental Service Labs and Surveying Companies. Course sponsors are S&T Bank and First Commonwealth. Marquee sponsors are Bud Light, Culpeppers, Chestnut Ridge Resort on the Green, Friends of Dave Reed, Don Huey Auto and Truck Repair and Inspection, Keystone Fundraising Solutions, Kuzneski and Lockard, Aaron Lehman, AW Lehman Financial, Northeast Energy, Romeo's Pizzeria and Mediterranean Kitchens, Steel City-Twisted Jimmy's, Upstreet Financial Advisors and Wolfendale's/Grub's Sports Bar.

The club continues an active schedule of community service in addition to support of the Alice Paul House, including a mentoring program for children and teens, distribution of ear plugs at community events to build awareness of the importance of hearing protection and speech and hearing issues, support for families though the Salvation Army Treasures for Children program, the first and second Back to School Bash, Big Hearts Little Hands program at the Indiana County YMCA, ICCAP homeless shelter, Healing Hearts and many other community service initiatives.
Quota of Indiana also has donated three sound amplification devices to area schools and supports Deaf Awareness Day at the Indiana Mall.
The organization has been a Bronze Sponsor for the Downtown Indiana Renaissance Indiana revitalization project.
In January, Quota of Indiana, in partnership with The Coney Island, raised more that $7,000 during its 10th annual Alice Paul House fundraising event. To date, Quota International of Indiana has raised and donated for that $50,000 to the Alice Paul House.
Membership in Quota is open to all.
