ART/MUSEUM EXHIBITS

The Artists Hand Gallery, 732 Philadelphia St., Indiana, opens “The University Museum Goes Downtown” this week with a free, public reception on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibit runs through May 4. The show features 20th and 21st century paintings and drawings from the permanent collection of the University Museum at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

The Jimmy Stewart Museum will present the following matinees at 1 p.m. in the third-floor theater:
