Someone stole a debit card from John Viccla, of Saltsburg, at 1024 Hilty Road on April 8, then used it at a Home Depot in California, state police in Kiski Valley reported.
Currie Benjamin Mickens, 19, of Pittsburgh, was cited with retail theft around 9:39 a.m. March 9 at Quizno’s in Folger Hall, according to police at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He took a sandwich worth $8.39 without paying, police said. Charges were filed Wednesday.

Christopher Roberts, 21, of Greenville, was taken into custody by Indiana Borough police around 4:04 p.m. Friday at Gatti’s Pharmacy after he was accused of stealing two boxes of condoms from the pharmacy. Police said he also had a marijuana pipe, which was found during his arrest. Police said he was released and faces charges of retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Stephanie A. Jarvie, 21, of Indiana, was cited with public drunkenness by IUP police following an incident around 2:39 a.m. Thursday on Garman Avenue near McCarthy Hall, police said.
She was held in the Indiana County Jail on a temporary detainer after being cleared at Indiana Regional Medical Center, according to police.
Someone stole a Dell XPS laptop from room G3 in Leonard Hall around 3:20 p.m. Thursday, IUP police reported.
Someone threw eggs on a residence in the 500 block of Stannard Avenue between 11 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday, Indiana Borough police reported.
Brian W. Knarr, 22, of Ridgeway, was cited with public urination around 12:31 a.m. April 7 in the 900 block of Garman Avenue, IUP police reported.
James Bartholomew Brida, 28, of Indiana, was cited with providing alcohol to underage people around 9:30 p.m. April 6 in the first block of South Sixth Street, Indiana Borough police reported.
Police said he provided alcohol to two 19-year-old women.
Amy Makin, 32, of Indiana, was cited with harassment after Indiana Borough police responded to a disturbance between two women around 9:20 p.m. Wednesday in the 600 block of Maple Street. Police said the other woman, who was not identified, reported Makin tried to punch her.
Jacob Timothy Pointer, 22, of Philadelphia, was charged with possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a controlled substance April 18, 2012, in the parking lot of the Hadley Union Building, IUP police reported. The charges were filed April 5.
Thomas Lynn Shaffer Jr., 28, of Indiana, was with burglarizing Nancy Pearce’s residence in the 100 block of Brady Drive between 11 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. Thursday, according to reports. Police said he stole prescription medication and a ring from the home, and that he was found to be in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
He was charged with felony counts of burglary and criminal trespass and misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia and theft. He was held in the Indiana County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
