Penns Manor student places in martial arts competition

James Harvey Jr., 14, of Northern Cambria and an eighth-grader at Penns Manor, recently competed in the 40th U.S. Open Martial Arts Championships in Belle, W.Va. He competed in sparring and patterns, placing third in the latter. A third-degree black belt, he has been studying Tae Kwon Do at Young Brothers of Indiana for eight years.
