HOMER-CENTER 15, UNITED 0: Visiting Homer-Center piled up 20 hits and gave pitcher Isiah Carr more than enough run support to notch a win over United in a Heritage Conference game that was shortened to five innings due to the 10-run mercy rule.

Carr tossed a four-hitter, striking out 11 and walking three, and he also finished 4-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBIs.

Matt Jones went 4-for-4 with two runs scored and three RBIs for the Wildcats. Austin Fairman doubled twice, singled twice and drove in three runs, and Darren Carr singled twice and had two RBIs. Logan Dellafiora singled, doubled and drove in two runs, Nate Wilden went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs, and Bryan Buzi scored three runs.

Both teams play Wednesday. United (1-4) travels to Marion Center, and Homer-Center plays host to Penns Manor.
