SENIOR OF THE MONTH: Jennifer Knezovich

Jennifer Lynn Knezovich has been named the Penns Manor Education Association Senior of the Month for May.

Jennifer is the daughter of Martin and Tammy Knezovich, of Indiana.

She is class president, student council vice president, Students Against Destructive Decisions vice president, editor-in-chief of the Cometarian, National Honor Society treasurer, Ski Club treasurer, prom committee president, a member of Spanish, Environmental and Varsity clubs, is a Special Olympics volunteer, Church of the Resurrection altar server, a member of their youth group and a volunteer for the Family Promise Organization.

She has been recognized with distinguished honors, is a member of the National Honor Society and was selected as homecoming queen. Jennifer is a Heritage Conference Scholar Athlete; a member of the 2012 volleyball team that won Heritage Conference and District 6 championships; a member of the 2012 track and field team that went undefeated in dual meets and won 2012 Heritage Conference and Indiana County championships; was selected Most Valuable Field Athlete at the County Meet three straight years; was a member of the school record-setting 4x100 relay team; was a District 6 medalist; was selected for the Indiana Gazette all-star track team; finished eighth at the Pennsylvania State Track and Field Championships; was a Pennsylvania first-team all-state selection; and has been recognized nationally in the Silver Standard Elite as a triple jumper.

Jennifer plans on attending Pennsylvania State University to major in nursing, and then go into sports medicine.
