State police at Indiana charged Karen Hicks, 54, of Indiana, with driving under the influence following a traffic stop at 2:22 a.m. Wednesday on Philadelphia Street at Christy Park Drive, police said.
Mahaffey Borough, Clearfield County
State police at Punxsutawney did not identify the people involved in an assault at 1:50 p.m. Friday at 158 Church St.
Police said an argument led to threatening statements. The victims were described by police only as a 20-year-old female and two males, ages 28 and 2.
The suspect was described by police as a 26-year-old female.
Loyalhanna Township, Westmoreland County
State police at the Kiski Valley station said Joshua Stitt, 20, of Saltsburg, allegedly struck and bit Audra Shaner, 39, and Earnest Frye Jr., 35, both of Saltsburg, at 5:50 p.m. Saturday along Poplar Drive.
Stitt also attempted to steal a shotgun belonging to Shaner, according to police.
Stitt was located and charged with simple assault and placed in the Westmoreland County Jail on $5,000 bail.
Derry Township, Westmoreland County
State police at Greensburg have charged Fallon Eckenrode, 19, of New Alexandria, with disorderly conduct.
Police said she created a disturbance at Action for Animals because she was denied a pet adoption.
Travis Browning, 30, of Rossiter, told state police at Punxsutawney someone stole a male beagle from his property along Dug Hill Road on Saturday night or Sunday morning.
The beagle is about 4 years old and weighs about 35 pounds, police said.
