Friends of the Parks will present “How to Build a Native Landscape” on June 9 at 2 p.m. on the Ed Donley property along Five Points Road.

The tour includes a bog garden, two ponds, and a meadow with native flowers and grasses. The diverse wildlife that flourishes in this setting includes frogs, birds, butterflies and dragonflies.

The program will explain techniques to develop wildlife-friendly features for your own landscape. Native plants will be offered to the participants.

Registration for this program is required. To register and obtain directions to the Donley property, call Indiana County Parks & Trails at (724) 463-8636, or request directions via email at hedonley@iup.edu.
