LITTLE LEAGUE: Blairsville wins baseball tourney

LOWER BURRELL — Blairsville went 4-0 to win the Lower Burrell Little League all-star tournament over the weekend.

In Saturday’s games, Blairsville defeated Indiana, 7-1, and Natrona Heights, 9-5. On Sunday, Blairsville beat Delmont, 2-1, in the semifinals, and Burrell, 6-1, in the championship game.

Nick Hrebik led Blairsville with five hits. Hrebik had three singles, a double and a homer. Larson Dolan added two singles and two doubles. Dolan hit a game-winning RBI double against Delmont. Tyler Moran chipped in two singles and two doubles, Brent Ratkus added three singles and a double, and Carrick Cavender had four singles.

• LATROBE — In a game played Friday, Latrobe defeated Blairsville, 11-8, in the second round of the Little Legue District 26 baseball tournament at Legion-Keener Field.

Nick Hrebik homered, singled and drove in two runs to lead Blairsville. Tyler Moran doubled twice and drove in two runs, and Andrew Perfetti doubled twice and drove in a run.
