BLAIRSVILLE — Blairsville Borough will hold a public meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday to provide residents with an opportunity to discuss their intent to apply for state funding for two different community projects.

The borough intends to apply for a Keystone Community Redevelopment Grant-to-Loan to assist local developers with building improvements/renovations of the former Bi-Lo property to help attract a grocery store to the community.

If awarded, this money would be loaned from and repaid to the borough.

The borough also intends to apply for a Greenways, Trails and Recreation program grant from the Commonwealth Financing Authority to assist with the purchase and installation of a new roof for the Blairsville Armory, which now serves as a recreation facility for area residents. The meeting will be held at the Blairsville Borough Municipal Building, 203 E. Market St.
