Gospel music event
ARMAGH — The United Methodist Church in Armagh will present gospel music by The Masters at 7 p.m. today. Everyone is welcome to attend. Light refreshments will follow.
CLYMER — A strawberry festival will be held from 3 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the Church of the Resurrection, Clymer.
Cost is $4 for adults and $2 for children. The event is sponsored by the church’s Altar Rosary Society.
Love Basket food drive
The Love Basket, a nonprofit, all volunteer emergency food assistance program for Indiana County, will hold a midyear church food drive to restock their shelves. Area churches and individuals are invited to participate this weekend by collecting nonperishable food items or monetary donations.
The items may then be delivered to the Love Basket Warehouse from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Robertshaw Building on the Indiana University of Pennsylvania campus.

Roast beef/holupki dinner
A roast beef and holupki dinner will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Christ Our Savior Orthodox Church, corner of Tanoma Road and Route 286, Rayne Township. The cost is $10 for adults, $3 for children ages 5 to 12 and free for ages 4 and under. Takeouts are available. The public is welcome.
Gospel concert series
ROBINSON — Robinson Church of The Brethren will present a free concert series on the following dates at the church, 211 High St., Robinson:

• Aug. 25 — Crossover
Concerts begin at 6 p.m.
A free-will offering will be accepted to benefit the guest musicians.

Family Sunday will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at Harvest Community Church, 637 Philadelphia St., fourth floor, Indiana.
There will be no Harvest Kidz Sunday School Classes.
Children are invited into the sanctuary to worship with their parents. Childcare will be available for children 3 and under.
CHERRY TREE — The Lighthouse Morning Star Ministries will hold its annual “Kid’s Kamp” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday at the church, 4886 Route 240, between Uniontown and Cookport.
The theme is Breaking Free, Mega Sports Camp.
Activities will include Bible lessons, music, crafts, free lunch, snacks, football, flag football, soccer, cheerleading, basketball and more.
The camp is directed by Renea Duke and Pastor Wilda Brown and is open to those ages 4 to 18.

Family movie night
HOMER CITY — Family movie night on the lawn will be held at dusk Friday and Aug. 23 at Homer City Presbyterian Church, 40 E. Elm St., Homer City.

Free clothing mission
KENT — Jacksonville Presbyterian Church in Kent will have a free clothing mission happening from 8:30 to 11 a.m. on July 27. Everyone is welcome.
Ken Osborne, a Southern gospel music artist, will be performing at 6 p.m. July 28 at the Independent Traditional Holiness Church, 5056 Ferguson Road, White Township.
He will also be singing in the morning worship service. Osborne travels with his wife, Ann, singing in concerts, camp meetings and revivals. He served as the music director at the College Terrace Wesleyan in Traverse City, Mich., for 21 years.
Osborne has sung with several quartets traveling throughout the Midwest and has made several recordings, which will be available at the concert.
His bass voice, as well as his wide musical range, will provide for an evening of inspiration and blessing. His sincere spirit and deep devotion to Christ comes through in his music.

BLAIRSVILLE — Hopewell United Methodist Church is having its annual chicken barbecue July 31 at the church in Blairsville.
The adult meal consists of half a chicken, baked potato, green beans, cole slaw, roll, dessert and drink. The children’s meal includes a leg or thigh, and the same sides.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children. Tickets need to be purchased in advance and are available for either 4:30 or 6 p.m. Take out is available.

Friday Night Light
PENN RUN — Friday Night Light will be held at 7 p.m. Aug. 2 at the Penn Run Christian Outreach Center, 75 Grace Center Road, Penn Run.
It will be held outdoors, weather permitting, and include a campfire, so bring lawn chairs and campfire snacks. Activities will include volleyball, basketball and other games. The night is sponsored by are community churches, including Harmony Presbyterian Church, Maple Grove Church of God, Penn Run Wesleyan, Kenwood Church of the Nazarene and Penn Run Church of the Brethren. BROCKWAY — The 11th annual tent revival will be held Aug. 5 to 11 at the First Apostles Doctrine Church and Just For Jesus Challenge Homeless Outreach Ministry, 14530 Route 28, south of Brockway.
Music begins at 6 p.m. each night. The Just For Jesus Testifying Meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 5. Bishop Jack Wisor will present revival services at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 6 to 11. Games, activities for all ages and horse rides will be held from noon to 1 p.m. and 3:30 to 5 p.m. Aug. 10 with a picnic from 2 to 3:30 p.m. The church service will be held at 10:40 a.m. Aug. 11.

Free clothes giveaway
CHERRY TREE — The 13th annual back-to-school free clothes giveaway will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 10 behind Kinport Assembly of God, Cherry Tree.
New coats, backpacks, hygiene products, shoes, haircuts and a light lunch will be free to school-age children of low-income families. There is no need to register and no income verification necessary.
