LOS ANGELES — When Lindsay Lohan gets out of rehab this summer, Oprah Winfrey will be waiting to talk to her.

Winfrey’s cable channel, OWN, said Friday that Winfrey is getting an “exclusive” interview with Lohan that will tape and air in August.

In May, Lohan checked into a Southern California rehab center for a 90-day stay, part of a plea deal in a misdemeanor case filed after a car accident. She’s expected to finish rehab around the end of July.

OWN says it also plans an eight-part documentary series with Lohan, to air in 2014.

Lohan, 27, whose credits include “The Parent Trap” and “Liz & Dick,” has struggled with legal and other woes. OWN and Winfrey have scored ratings with other newsworthy celebrity interviews, including Lance Armstrong and Rihanna.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Hospital officials say country music star Randy Travis remains in critical condition and has been under heavy sedation since surgery following a stroke.

The 54-year-old singer has been hospitalized since Sunday after suffering congestive heart failure due to a viral illness.

Travis suffered the stroke Wednesday night at The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano and doctors performed surgery to relieve pressure on his brain.

A hospital statement says the “Three Wooden Crosses” singer is resting comfortably and that his family continues to ask for prayers and support.

The Grammy Award-winning singer has been surrounded by family and friends while in the hospital and received a visit Thursday from George Jones’ widow, Nancy, who played music for her late husband’s longtime friend.

NEW YORK — What happens when a tornado whips up hundreds of sharks and hurls them at Los Angeles?

Syfy network’s “Sharknado” suggests that such a siege can take a big chomp out of social media.

Aired Thursday night, the disaster thriller was a trending topic on Twitter as it inspired amazed, often jeering messages to reflect viewer amusement at the film’s jaw-dropping premise.

One tweeter expressed satisfaction that here was a natural disaster that finally makes Aquaman useful. Another jokingly questioned the film’s scientific authenticity. Another described the sharknado as “an act of cod.”

“Sharknado” was the night’s most social program, generating nearly 5,000 tweets per minute at its peak. The network says it scored 387,000 social media mentions during its premiere.

Syfy says “Sharknado” was seen by nearly 1.37 million viewers.

DEADWOOD, S.D. — Actor Kevin Costner is asking $14 million for 1,000 acres of land he owns in western South Dakota’s Black Hills.

The property includes the site of the ill-fated Dunbar resort, a $100 million project that would have included a golf course and a steam-powered passenger train. It never materialized.

The listing does not include Costner’s Midnight Star, the tallest building on Deadwood’s Main Street, or the $6 million Tatanka visitor attraction he owns on the gambling town’s north edge.

Costner filmed much of his Academy Award-winning movie “Dances with Wolves” in South Dakota.

Real estate agent Mike Percevich says Costner has a strong sense of loyalty to the area, and his decision to sell was a difficult one.
